TK80C32 - General DescriptionThe TK80C32 is a pin for pin replacement for the original 80C32 part. It is a new design, created using the Tekmos configurable microprocessor technology, and implemented in our 0.35u CMOS process. The use of the original instruction timing insures that the original code will continue to perform correctly while running in the Tekmos design. The performance advantages resulting from the 0.35u process allow the Tekmos part to replace all of the earlier version’s speed grades. The use of a current process also insures the long term availability of this part. The TK80C32 is available in the 40 pin PDIP, the 44 pin PLCC, and the 44 pin QFP packages. ArchitectureThe TK80C32 consists of the Tekmos 8051 core surrounded by various peripherals mapped into the SFR register space. Here is a list of the key peripherals found in the TK80C32.
